Hello, everyone! I’ve been enjoying the quiet slow life here in our little village, Lochwinnoch, Scotland. As it’s 650km north of Cardiff, where we used to live, I was prepared for a harsh Scottish winter but it was much warmer than I expected. Here are some photos from January. I hope you enjoy the images.

こんにちは。皆様お元気ですか？大変ご無沙汰しております。冬の間もずっとスコットランドの小さな田舎町で、静かにスローライフを楽しんでいました。以前住んでいたウェールズ、カーディフから650キロ程北上したので、初めての冬の厳しさを覚悟していましたが、拍子抜けする程暖かで、日課の散歩も快適でした。今日は1月編フォトジャーナルをお届け致します。

COUNTRY WALK JOURNAL

My daily walking course - the Railway Path Heritage Trail around Barr Castle & Barr Loch.

日課の散歩コースは、バー城 & バー湖を臨む旧鉄道跡に作られたサイクリングパス。

The first snowy day this winter. It didn't stay long but I was very happy with the snow.

この冬初めての雪。すぐに溶けてしまいましたが、とても嬉しかったです。

It was a warm winter and it rained almost every single day. So mostly the landscape was gloomy but somehow I felt relaxed and I found the warm grey landscape very romantic.

比較的暖かである反面、ほぼ毎日雨の降っていた冬。ロマンチックに低く雲が垂れ込んだ村の景色。不思議と心地よく感じました。

DAYS OUT JOURNAL

We often go for a walk to nearby woodlands or areas within a one-hour drive. In January we visited the National Trusts Culzean Castle and the Highlands.

週末は近場も含め、小一時間程のドライブで着くエリアのハイキングをすることが多い我々。一月は、南方面へ下った西海岸沿いナショナルトラストの管理するCulzean Castle や、『007 Skyfall』（2012年）で雄大な景色が印象的だったハイランド地方を訪れました。
